Passive RFID vs. Barcodes

The debate between barcodes and passive RFID always begins with the same question – what kind of data collection system are you using today?

One A3 client insisted on deploying an RFID system to improve inventory accuracy and reduce theft in delivery vehicles. When A3’s Integration Team arrived to evaluate their current processes, it was discovered that the clipboards were often misplaced or handwritten data was illegible.

Clipboards? Yes, a lot of companies still track inventory with paper and pencil, and employ administrative resources to monitor and correct the errors.

A3 Technologies recommended a wireless barcode system that would meet the client’s inventory tracking needs while maintaining budgetary and deployment guidelines. The system only required a few changes in their current processes but would be scalable to accommodate RFID at a later date when the client needed the added capabilities that RFID provides.

Let A3 Technologies design a solution that meets your true needs today while preparing for tomorrow.
